SCALGO offers several software packages for massive terrain processing as well as consulting services.

Our Software Packages

The SCALGO software portfolio consists of two main software packages: SCALGO Model and SCALGO Hydrology. Additionally, raster simplification functionality in SCALGO Model is available in the SCALGO Simplify package as an add-on to SCALGO Hydrology. Finally, the SCALGO software products include a SCALGO combinatorial anti-noise (S-CAN) plug-in for the NaviModel software of EIVA.

The modules in the SCALGO software packages run on Windows platforms and are capable of processing very large datasets on a standard workstation. The packages include support for running the modules from a standalone graphics user interface or from a toolbox within ArcGIS (which also allows for combination of the modules using ArcGIS ModelBuilder). The software supports most common raster terrain data formats through the use of the Geospatial Data Abstraction Library (GDAL), including geotiff-, img-, bil- and asc-files. It supports (LIDAR) point data in the common LAS file format and in simple ASCII file formats. Furthermore, large datasets that are broken up into a mosaic of many smaller tiles can also be read and written effortlessly.

SCALGO Model

Constructs raster and TIN terrain models from massive terrain points, as well as simplifies massive raster terrain models (removal of depressions) in a fully-specified and user-controlled way. SCALGO Model can also quantify the quality of a raster terrain model and manipulate large tiled terrain data.read more

SCALGO Hydrology

Performs hydrological modeling on massive raster terrain models. Functionality includes flow direction and accumulation computation, computation of watersheds and bluespots (major depressions), assessment of flooding risk due to rising sea-level, as well as model simplification by flooding (removal of all depressions). read more

SCALGO Simplify

This add-on software package adds the raster simplification functionality of the SCALGO Model software package to the SCALGO Hydrology software package. It allows for improved hydrological modeling by adding fully-specified and user-controlled simplification (removal of depressions). read more

SCALGO S-CAN

This software package is a plug-in to EIVA's NaviModel software that effectively cleans sonar data, that is, remove noise and outliers as a result of fish, multiple sonar reflections or scanner self-reflections. The plug-in is produced in collaboration with and sold by EIVA.

Our Consulting Services

SCALGO performs custom computation consulting work such as modeling and hydrological analysis projects on massive terrain data using the SCALGO software packages. We also use more advanced terrain model analysis tools, including novel in-house SCALGO software, for production of realistic contours and advanced hydrological analysis such as Flash Flood Mapping.
