Two multi-lingual Market Developers to grow SCALGO Live in Europe

Are you interested in developing flood resilient cities and creating blue-green environments? Are you familiar with the ways city planners, engineers, biologists, or landscape architects work with terrain and surface water?

We are looking for two multi-lingual Market Developers to bring SCALGO Live further into the everyday life of planners, engineers, and architects in Europe.

About SCALGO

SCALGO was founded to change the way we plan our cities and protect our nature by bringing advanced terrain data-processing to the market and harness the power of large-scale digital elevation data. SCALGO’s main product – SCALGO Live – is a web-based platform used by engineers, landscape architects, urban planners, biologists and more who work to create better and more sustainable environments with space for water.

In SCALGO Live, users can quickly explore how surface water and terrain interact, and experiment with ways to adapt cities to climate change, restore nature, develop blue-green urban environments, and create robust stormwater management around infrastructure.

Since launching SCALGO Live in Denmark in 2016, we have expanded into 8 new countries, and we now have more than 25.000 users spanning all the Nordic countries, the UK, Germany, Poland, and France. This year, we are continuing our growth journey by adding several new countries to SCALGO Live.

SCALGO currently employs a team of 29 highly qualified employees covering 9 different nationalities. The technical team consists of world leading experts in designing and implementing algorithms for analysing trillions of data elements. The multi-lingual market team consists of highly skilled engineers, planners, and marketers with deep insights into surface water planning.

About the position as Market Developer

This year we are launching SCALGO Live in several new countries and we are therefore expanding our market team that serves users in Sweden, Finland, France, Spain, and Germany. We are currently looking for two multi-lingual Market Developers who are passionate about terrain and surface water planning and believe that innovation and digital technologies can improve the way we plan our urban and rural environments.

As a Market developer you are the face of SCALGO and will work to promote and facilitate the use of SCALGO Live through the following activities:

  • Sales. Demonstrate and promote the SCALGO Live platform to relevant organisations. Actively approach those that do not know about us yet to increase brand recognition and grow our user base.
  • Education and onboarding. Educate new users and help them get started with SCALGO Live. Participate in conferences, exhibitions, and seminars to grow our network. Work to promote and strengthen the SCALGO Live community through webinars, workshops and more.
  • Product management. Work together with our technical team to make SCALGO Live an even better platform by including new relevant data and developing new features.

Our success relies on our close collaboration and contact with existing and potential users, and it is your job to continue to nurture and expand these relationships. You will be a part of the market team under the leadership of our Regional Head of Market, Hampus Åkerblom.

You can choose between working out of our great office on the Copenhagen harbourfront or remotely from another location of your choice. The position will require you to travel to Copenhagen regularly to meet and work with our Regional Head of Market and collaborate with the rest of the market team. If you would consider relocating to Copenhagen for a shorter or longer period, we would help you with the process. Much of our contact with users is through online meetings, but some travelling should be expected.

Your profile

In this job you’ll be a part of our highly professional and international market team. We expect you to have the following qualifications:

  • Relevant educational background. You could be an environmental engineer, landscape architect, biologist, urban planner or similar.
  • Multi-lingual language skills. You should be fluent in English and on top of that, it is a requirement that you speak two of the following languages: French, Spanish, German, Swedish and Finnish. Your language skills will determine in which markets you will be most active.
  • Good communication skills. Much of your work will be about getting information about SCALGO Live through to a cross-disciplinary group of users and we expect you to be comfortable communicating at many different levels of technical expertise.
  • Previous experience in using different planning tools. It is an advantage if you are familiar with surface water modelling and / or terrain planning. For example, GIS, CAD and hydrological / hydrodynamic modelling tools. Maybe you already have used SCALGO Live?
