UK update – import OS MasterMap data into SCALGO Live

  • Neue Versionen

You can now easily import MasterMap data from Ordnance Survey into SCALGO Live and see how land cover data affects surface water. The OS MasterMap, a digital product of the Ordnance Survey, is a database that records every fixed feature of the UK, larger than a few metres, in one continuous digital map.

Changes in land cover affect surface water flooding. We have now made it possible to further detail surface water analyses in SCALGO Live with for example Ordnance Survey's MasterMap data, which describes land cover in high detail for the entire UK,” explains Peder Bøcher, Market Manager for the UK.

Basically, you just drag and drop the data into a workspace and then define runoff functions to different land cover types. This gives you updated surface water analysis. You can then start editing the land cover data to describe the effects of future development."

In this video you can see how to import MasterMap data.

Next up is analyzing surface water flooding with the new land cover data. Learn how to include runoff functions into the flood analysis by watching the video below.
