Front-end developer for groundbreaking geospatial platform
Are you passionate about building intuitive and beautiful user interfaces? Do you want to develop digital tools that help users design flood resilient cities and infrastructure? Do you want to write elegant, scalable code to simplify and communicate complex geospatial data?
Then join our international and highly qualified team and help us further develop the front-end of the groundbreaking Scalgo Live platform.
About Scalgo
Scalgo was founded to change the way we plan our cities and protect our nature by bringing advanced terrain data-processing to the market and harness the power of large-scale digital elevation data. Scalgo’s main product – Scalgo Live – is a web-based platform used by engineers, landscape architects, urban planners, biologists and more who work to create better and more sustainable environments with space for water.
In Scalgo Live, users can quickly explore how surface water and terrain interact, and experiment with ways to adapt cities to climate change, restore nature, develop blue-green urban environments, and create robust stormwater management around infrastructure.
Since launching Scalgo Live in Denmark in 2016, we have expanded into 12 new countries, and we have tens of thousands of users spanning the Nordic countries, the UK, Germany, the US and several others. This year, we are continuing our growth journey by launching Scalgo Live in several new countries.
Scalgo currently employs a team of 35 highly qualified employees covering 14 different nationalities. The technical team consists of world leading experts in designing and implementing algorithms for analysing trillions of data elements. The multi-lingual market team consists of highly skilled engineers, planners, and marketers with deep insights into surface water planning.
By joining Scalgo, you will be a part of an international scale-up that is working towards creating a blue-green, climate adapted future using cutting-edge technologies.
About the position as front-end developer
Scalgo Live is an advanced platform with powerful interactive tools that allow the user to explore terrain and flood analysis. It is powered by a backend with state-of-the-art geometric analysis algorithms, and plenty of hardware, that enable extremely fast interactions and always up-to-date analysis.
It is essential that Scalgo Live is easy to use - also for users that are not experienced in data handling or surface water analysis. This means that we put a lot of effort into keeping the tool simple, intuitive, and visual.
