1. DATA CONTROLLER
When you visit our website, create a Scalgo Live account or otherwise interact with us, Scalgo ApS, Business reg. no.: 32566359, Aabogade 40D, 8200 Aarhus N, Denmark processes your personal data as an independent data controller.

2. WE PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA
2.1 When you create a Scalgo live account
Legal basis and purposes
When you create a Scalgo Live account we ask you to provide your email address, employer or educational organization information, job title, name and password information. We process this personal data for the purpose of administrating your account and in accordance with article 6(1)(b) and (f) of the GDPR.
If you create your Scalgo Live account through a single sign-on system, your information will be provided by the system which is controlled by your identity provider (your employer or educational organization in most cases). Your employer or educational organization is the data controller regarding the processing of your personal data through the sign-on system.
Additionally, Scalgo processes your email address for the purpose of notifying you of important information about Scalgo products, such as material changes to this policy or safety information, notifying you when a user shares a workspace with you, or notifying you when you need to reset your password. The legal ground for processing your email address for this purpose is based on Scalgo’s legitimate interest in informing you about these matters in accordance with article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.
Please note that you always have the right to object to our processing of your personal data, on grounds relating to your particular situation, when we process your personal data on the basis of our legitimate interests in accordance with art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. Disclosure and transfer of personal data
We share your personal data with suppliers processing data on our behalf (data processors), and we always make sure, that all our suppliers comply with our instructions and applicable privacy legislation.
Furthermore, we share your personal data with our affiliated companies Scalgo USA Inc in USA and Scalgo Korea (branch) in South Korea on the basis of the European Comminsion’s standard contractual clauses in accordance with art. 46(2)(C).
The administrator(s) of your organization may also receive information about your use of the platform for billing purposes.
Finally, when you sign up to our platform, you accept that other Scalgo Live users are able to see your information if they e.g., share a workspace with you by identifying you by your email address, name or title. In this regard, please note that Scalgo Live has users around the world
Retention
You can delete your Scalgo Live account at any time. Since Scalgo Live billing depends on organization-wide billing, Scalgo keeps a log of your use of the service.
Scalgo stores this data for a period of two years after deletion of your account to allow organization administrators to manage inter-organizational usage monitoring.
2.2 If you sign up for marketing emails
Legal basis and purposes
If you opt-in to marketing emails, Scalgo will process your personal data to send you marketing and training information, such as notifying you of new significant features as well as sending information about future training events.
Furthermore, we will process your personal data when you interact with the emails (e.g. whether you have received, opened, or clicked on any links in the email).
The legal ground for processing your personal data for these marketing purposes is your consent in accordance with article 6(2)(a) of the GDPR.
When we process your personal data on the basis of your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. In this connection it is important to note that the withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on your consent before the withdrawal.
Disclosure and transfer of personal data
We share your personal data with suppliers processing data on our behalf (data processors), and we always make sure, that all our suppliers comply with our instructions and applicable privacy legislation.
Our email service provider, Mailchimp Inc., is based in the USA and we therefore transfer your personal data outside the EU/EEA when you sign up for our newsletters. Mailchimp Inc. is certified under the EU – U.S. privacy Framework. Hence, the legal basis for the transfer is art. 45(3) of the GDPR.
Furthermore, we share your personal data with our affiliated companies Scalgo USA Inc in USA and Scalgo Korea (branch) in South Korea on the basis of the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses in accordance with art. 46(2)(C).
Retention
You can opt-out from marketing emails at any time. If you opt-out, we will erase the personal data processed for these purposes (please note, that personal data processed for other purposes will not be erased).
If you haven’t interacted with (including opened) our emails in more than 3 years, we will erase the personal data processed for these purposes.
2.3 When you interact with us
Legal basis and purposes
When you use the contact request form on our website or otherwise interact with Scalgo, e.g. for Scalgo’s sale related purposes, we process your name, title and professional contact information, to be able to interact with you, target sales activities etc.
The legal ground for processing your personal data for these purposes is our legitimate interests to be able to interact with you in accordance with article 6(2)(f) of the GDPR.

We share your personal data with suppliers processing data on our behalf (data processors), and we always make sure, that all our suppliers comply with our instructions and applicable privacy legislation.
