20 Jan 2026 USA New releases Urban development Landscape design

Description

Get a tour of the new Scalgo Land Cover Map for the entire United States and see how it can support surface water planning.

The map is based on AI that analyzes aerial images and produces high-accuracy land cover data at 25 cm resolution. Land cover is distinguished into 12 classes, divided into artificial and natural surfaces.

In this webinar, Cole Pragides and Nick Irza from our USA team introduce how the land cover map was developed using Scalgo’s AI model. They also demonstrate how the map supports detailed surface water analysis and the development of solutions for flood resilience, stormwater management, and low impact development.

You will learn to:

  • use the map within analyses and tools in Scalgo Live

  • edit land cover in your projects to assess how changes influence surface water

  • refine Scalgo analyses with curve numbers and runoff functions to separate infiltrated water from surface runoff

This webinar is for engineers, municipal planners, and landscape architects working with surface water and land use planning in the U.S. Do not miss the chance to see how quickly you can get land cover statistics for your watersheds and get inspiration for how to streamline your projects.
