Holiday coziness with exciting tech updates
- Nouvelles publications
This holiday season, grab a warm drink, relax and get a quick overview of this year's most exciting updates in Scalgo Live.
At Scalgo, we continuously improve existing tools, introduce new functionalities, and launch new Core+ products. Here you can get an overview of some of the major releases and updates from this year.
1. New elevation and land cover data worldwide
Did you know that Scalgo Live has a Global theme that lets you get started with surface water assessments anywhere in the world? Earlier this year, we updated the Global theme with new and more detailed elevation and land cover data. This data is ideal for initial assessments, and if you have more detailed datasets, you can easily upload them into a workspace.
2. Turn any site into a detailed 3D model
One of the major developments this year was creating a completely new export functionality that generates a detailed 3D model based on elevation and land cover data from Scalgo Live. CAD designers can now save a lot of time by simply exporting their site from Scalgo Live with minimal effort and moving straight into detailed design work in their preferred CAD software.
3. DynamicFlood updates and new countries
We are continuously developing DynamicFlood, and this year was no exception. DynamicFlood became available in France, Germany, and Great Britain. We also updated it with comprehensive culvert information. With a single click, you can access details on flow rates, water depths, culvert dimensions, and more. And finally, we have begun adding historical rain events, allowing you to compare them with your typical design rains.

4. Property-level flood risk assessments
This year also marked the launch of PropertyResilience, a new Core+ product now available in Sweden, Denmark, and Finland. PropertyResilience is developed to support the insurance, real estate, and banking sectors with detailed resilience reports and transparent risk scores that help with underwriting, portfolio assessment, and regulatory reporting.
5. Introducing subsurface networks in Scalgo Live
One of our recent developments was the addition of subsurface networks that allows to explore large underground drainage systems. These new functionalities combine surface and subsurface planning from the very beginning without adding complexity to your workflow. Water engineers can easily draw pipes and inlets into a Workspace and use flow paths and watersheds to map and analyse how water moves throughout the system.
