Surface water management at landscape scale

Discover how to develop surface water strategies and work with Natural Flood Management (NFM) at landscape scale in Scalgo Live.

Dean Morrison from High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty has worked with natural flood management in southeastern England for several years. He will demonstrate techniques he has been using in his projects. Tom Young from The Environment Partnership will present a project from Kingsclere Estates, where he has designed measures to capture, hold, and redirect runoff for infiltration and land rehydration.

Get inspiration on how to:

  • Analyse surface hydrology at landscape scale.
  • Develop surface water management plans with NFM techniques.
  • Enhance infiltration by capturing, holding and redirecting runoff.
