Head of Marketing

We are looking for an ambitious Head of Marketing to join the growth adventure at SCALGO.


SCALGO was founded to change the way we plan our cities and protect our nature by bringing advanced terrain data-processing to the market and harness the power of large-scale digital elevation data. SCALGO’s main product – SCALGO Live – is a web-based platform used by engineers, landscape architects, urban planners and biologists who work to create better and more sustainable environments with space for water.

In SCALGO Live, users can quickly explore how surface water and terrain interact, and experiment with ways to adapt cities to climate change, restore nature, develop blue-green urban environments, and create robust stormwater management around infrastructure.

Since launching SCALGO Live in Denmark in 2016, we have expanded into 8 new countries, and we now have more than 25.000 users spanning all the Nordic countries, the UK, Germany, Poland, and France. This year, we are continuing our growth journey by launching SCALGO Live in several new countries.

SCALGO currently employs a team of 29 highly qualified employees covering 9 different nationalities. The technical team consists of world leading experts in designing and implementing algorithms for analysing trillions of data elements. The multi-lingual market team consists of highly skilled engineers, planners, and marketers with deep insights into surface water planning.

About the job

We are looking for a creative Head of Marketing to lead our international marketing initiatives. SCALGO Live is growing fast, we launch the platform in several new countries every year. As Head of Marketing, you will develop and execute marketing initiatives in a highly international setting, and you will have a prominent role in establishing new systematic and structured global marketing plans.

You will be reporting directly to the CEO, Morten Revsbæk, and work closely with our market team. The job is based in Copenhagen. If you are moving from somewhere else in Europe, we would be happy to help you relocate. 

Your responsibilities include:

Execute efficient marketing plans to reach the target audiences in our markets:

  • Systematically execute digital marketing campaigns across various channels such as social media, email, and our website
  • Coordinate national marketing efforts in close collaboration with our local market managers

Develop our marketing strategies to create more impactful communication and marketing:

  • Continue to develop marketing initiatives and strategies together with internal project teams and external consultants

Lead our small and highly motivated marketing team:

  • Lead the marketing team to develop and execute on marketing strategies
  • Take responsibility for ensuring high quality output in marketing materials and campaigns

Manage our marketing channels:

  • Have the main responsibility to develop and manage our website
  • Manage and grow our social media channels
  • Plan, develop and execute our email marketing

Lead content creation:

  • Make sure we create content that disseminate user success stories, use cases, platform releases and product launches
  • Coordinate content creation (videos, blog posts etc) with external content creators

Establish systematic marketing reporting:

  • Monitor and analyse the performance of marketing initiatives and campaigns

Your profile

The ideal candidate has a proven track record of developing and executing successful B2B marketing plans. It is an advantage if you have experience from marketing of other Software-as-a-Service products or services within relevant fields such as climate change, engineering, and nature restoration.

We are looking for the following qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in B2B marketing
  • Relevant educational background
  • Fluency in English is a must. Other languages are highly appreciated.
  • Excellent skills in creating written marketing content
  • Experience in collaborating with external consultants and marketing agencies
  • Pro-active and structured with a holistic mindset to marketing
  • Attention to detail and the ability to maintain high quality in content we create
  • Demonstrated success in overseeing international marketing initiatives
  • A proven track record of working with digital marketing and social media
  • A plus if you have previous experience from companies working with Software-as-a-Service, climate change, engineering, nature restoration or other relevant fields.
