River restoration project in Voldbækken stream to improve biodiversity and wildlife

  • Use cases

Have a look at this video from our visit to Voldbækken stream in Aarhus that was re-meandered a year back and already shows remarkable improvements in biodiversity and wildlife. We are joined by two of our users and dedicated biologists Bjarke Dehli (Aarhus municipality) and Jonas Ribergaard Rasmussen (COWI) who give some interesting insights into this inspiring project.

It is awesome to see how the terrain shaping features of SCALGO Live can be used to plan this kind of project that helps restore natural processes for the benefit of both wildlife and people. To borrow Bjarke's words: “We have done our part so now it is up to nature”.
