Two pro-active Market Developers / Water Resources Engineers

We are looking for two technical Sales Engineers/Market Developers with a background in water resources and stormwater engineering to drive the expansion of Scalgo Live in the United States.

About Scalgo

Scalgo was founded to transform surface water planning by making advanced terrain data processing and high-detail digital elevation models easily accessible. Our flagship product, Scalgo Live, is a web-based planning software that empowers engineers, urban planners, landscape architects, and biologists to create better and more sustainable environments with space for water.

Since launching Scalgo Live in Denmark in 2016, we have expanded to 12 European countries and now support over 35,000 users. In the U.S., Scalgo Live launched in 2024, and we are excited to expand its reach, empowering planners and engineers around the country.

About the position as Market Developer

We are building an ambitious and dynamic market team at our newly established office in Brooklyn, New York. We are seeking two Market Developers with a background in water resources and stormwater engineering to join this new team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Introduce and showcase the Scalgo Live platform to key organizations, highlighting its value for urban planning, flood mitigation, nature restoration, and more. Proactively reach out to build product awareness and expand our user base.
  • Education and Onboarding: Provide expert guidance to help users navigate and use Scalgo Live effectively in their work. Build and foster an engaged user community through webinars, workshops, and other events.
  • Network Building: Represent Scalgo at conferences, exhibitions, and seminars to grow impact on the market. Actively seek new opportunities to introduce Scalgo Live to new organizations.
  • Product Management: Collaborate closely with the technical team to enhance Scalgo Live by integrating relevant user feedback, adding new data, and developing innovative features.

Other details:

  • Travel Requirements: Travelling to several conferences and exhibitions every year. 
  • Support: You will have full support from our European market team in Copenhagen, our tech team at the main office in Aarhus, and our local team in Brooklyn.
  • Training: Expect to travel to Europe for onboarding and training.

Required skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental engineering or Civil engineering (with emphasis on water resources, stormwater and flooding) or similar field. A master's degree is referred. 
  • 1+ years of experience in in stormwater management, flood resilience, green infrastructure and similar fields.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with GIS or CAD software.
  • Solid understanding of hydrodynamic, 1D/2D and hydrological modeling (e.g., HEC-RAS, SWMM, TUFLOW, MikeUrban).
  • Previous experience with Scalgo Live is warmly welcomed.
